DSTROSMASH! is a heartfelt and (mostly) faithful remake of John Sohl's classic Intellivision action-arcade game, ASTROSMASH!

It can be thought of as a cross between Asteroids and Space Invaders, but what set the game apart from others was its sound effects and ever-frantic pace.

Simple but addictive gameplay, an innovative scoring and difficulty system, and immersive (for the time) sound and graphics make Astrosmash a superior shoot'em-up, rivaling even the most celebrated arcade gem. But the forlorn sense of futility against an uncaring and unstoppable foe place it far above all others as a true classic. Astrosmash accurately captures the sensation of defending yourself, not against the devious plot of alien conquorers, but from the jaded indifference of the very universe.
