Wow.. If this is the direction of Homebrew, then the future looks awesome! Simply amazing!

Ok.. so let's start the review. You're first met with the screen shown above with music playing and menu items. No compo screens (good thing for you compo people, cause this would kick your butt!). You have the choice of playing 1 player against the DS, 2 players on the same DS, Rules and Credits. We'll start by selecting the rules and touching START. Nice screen with instructions on how to play. Now, don't get me wrong, this game plays, looks, and sounds awesome. But, the rules could use an additional page and be called instructions or something simular instead, because the first round I played, I pushed 1 "ball" off the screen and it said I won. I thought it was a bug at first, untill I realized that there is a "Goal" for each character. And that the limit is how many of your balls they can push off before you lose. But enough about the instructions, let's move onto the 1 player mode.

So, now we have a very nice looking screen with 7 playable characters and a 8th locked one. Selecting each character will show you there skill level as well as their Goal, Limit, and if you have completed that level. Each character also has a unique background and "ball" type. Pressing the START button during play pauses the game and gives you the ability to quit if you'd like.

The game play is great. Select 1, 2, or 3 balls that you want to move, and it gives you an indicator where you can move them to. The computers skills seem to be pretty good for the level you picked. I was able to play easy and medium without much trouble. Hard.. well.. that's another story.. but they don't call it Hard for nothing.

On the bad side, it doesn't seem to save your game status, so if you don't beat all the guys to unlock the 8th one, you have to start over each time. Closing the lid also doesn't seem to have any effect.

2 player mode, allows you to pick a "skin" or background and ball type. Then, you take turns moving balls and try to catch 6 of your apponents balls.

Let's not forget the credits. Again, this game is amazing.

Let's not forget to mention the excellent looking web site that goes along with the game. http://omalone.free.fr/

Even that holds up to the quality of the game with information about the game as well as screen shots. Take a few minutes and browse around. They did a great job.

If there was any hombrew worthy of being an official Nintendo release, this is it! Specially if you compare it to the crap Nintendo has been releasing!

Good job, you just made the homebrew world look that much better, though you made our games/apps look that much worse! :P
